As expected, 32 RNG units were received from MacroFab Corp on May 27th and were tested forthwith. Five of the 32 units tested turned out to be defective (3 exhibited harmonics in the 2nd noise generator, a fourth sawtooth pattern, a fifth no output whatever). The producer has agreed to replace these, but the episode is indicative of the extreme care that is required in assembling the Cardano. While expensive and slow, full testing will probably be required seeing how a nonfunctioning RNG is the end of any practical cryptography. The passing units will now enjoy a life of ent.
As in the great days of the Studio System, NSA's star male lead spent a lot of time loaned out to other studios this Spring. The critically panned "RSA In The Soup!" trilogy was just packaged recently, while filming for the Thermonuked Chicken Saga continues.
