   "Probably second in command after Lord Hagen, Garond is the leader of the paladins inside the castle besieged by orcs in the valley of mines. He was sent into the valley of mines to supervise the ore mining, but lost many men to Dragon and Orc attacks.
   With few extra Paladins available to protect the digging expeditions, Garond finds his mission to be on the verge of failure and asks the hero to take Lord Hagen a request for additional Paladins to aid his mission."
