Namworld MPEx has less features and a high fee, but functions more like a stock exchange, not a brokerage platform. [06:37]
Namworld The transactions are much more secure. [06:38]
Namworld All gpg signed. [06:38]
Namworld coinbr.com is a broker for MPEx [06:38]

mircea_popescu heh who does that. [09:06]
Namworld MPOE-PR? [09:06]
Namworld Most of her post seems to be witch-hunting some random schmucks taking on a project too large for them and shooting them down. [09:07]
Namworld Or criticizing people or stuff. [09:07]
Namworld Well I guess on the visibility level, that does attract a lot of eyeballs. [09:08]
mircea_popescu this != denigrating everything (regardless if deserved) [09:09]
mircea_popescu neither as far as denigration goes, nor as far as deserved goes. [09:09]
Namworld Not what everyone seems to believes [09:09]
mircea_popescu well, so give an example. [09:10]
Namworld She might often be right in her predictions. It's still shooting down stuff on assumptions. [09:10]
mircea_popescu even her recent crusade against bfl (who aren't poor schmucks) seems to have been on the spot [09:10]
mircea_popescu they didn't, in the end, deliver first. [09:11]
Namworld yeah [09:11]
Namworld But she can't always be right. [09:11]
mircea_popescu well nobody can [09:11]
Namworld Yeah. But denigrating can mean simply attacking the reputation of someone or belittling them. She does that alot. [09:11]
Namworld Especially for some "developers" not fit for making the service they offer and etc. [09:12]
Namworld But she seems to be a quick shot. [09:12]
mircea_popescu afaik truthfully denigrate is an oxymoron. [09:13]
Namworld Anyway, not what traditional PR account do. [09:14]
Namworld Those mostly answer questions, talk about the merits of the business and mostly doesn't care about whatever drama or stuff happening around them. [09:14]
mircea_popescu actually, what pr does is get press mentions. [09:16]
mircea_popescu the rest is fluff. [09:16]

mircea_popescu Re: customer deposts: I can't give you guys coins that I don't have, but I will likely be paying users out of pocket for this in a manner that is affordable. The way the site was set up before, apparently, advertisers were not allowed to withdrawal at all. I want to change things like this to allow that sort of functionality but I am not going to be able to do that especially if you guys try to all withdrawal at once [14:19]
mircea_popescu , it's just not going to be feasible, and if giantdragon still had the site, apparently, he wouldn't have paid advertiser balances out anyway. Advertisers would use their balances for advertising, and the publishers had the ability to be paid out. If a publisher has a balance and the amount requested for withdrawal is reasonable, I'll just pay it out of pocket, but it's not like I have a massive bitcoin balance to be [14:19]
mircea_popescu paying out of. I have a very little amount of bitcoin, and after buying coinurl the amount is laughable but if the total amount of publisher withdrawals is a few BTC a week or something then I can make that happen. Be reasonable, be patient, and this transition will be pretty seamless. [14:19]
