lnovy electricity burned is almost directly transformed into network security which more or less directly affects price. The real problem and wasting is not with distributed mining but with nondistributed chain verification as this needs to be done by every participant indepently and every new member of network need to check whole chain. This is a problem that will kill ethereum very quicky as you are actually not paying transaction fee for inclusion in the b [03:33]
assbot [HAVELOCK] [B.EXCH] 8 @ 0.11950724 = 0.9561 BTC [-] [03:34]

mircea_popescu dub amex is one of the majors. [03:45]
dub smaller than visa and mc tho [03:46]
mircea_popescu nah larger. 33bn/8bn vs 10/2bn for visa [03:46]
mircea_popescu roughly same for mc, slighly lower, something like that. [03:47]
dub probably significantly skewed [03:47]
mircea_popescu amex actually employs like... twice as many ppl as mc/visa combined or some shit. [03:48]
mircea_popescu it's huge. [03:48]
