Minigame has been so far spared the significant disruption that was imposed on both Qntra and Phuctor by the Republic's continued failure to exist online. How long such improbability may continue is anyone's guess, for which reason this item properly figures as the first on the list of existential concerns.
This month we also announced and completed the first major financial event for the ECu, which was floated 10:1. The move proceeded exactly as previously described ; there were no disruptions, user-reported problems, or other issues of any kind.
Through discussion with Freenode staff, a preliminary plan to eventually move towards pure irc chat for the game has been drawn upii. This (together with a move away from native events towards cli-style commands for many interactionsiii) should make it ever so easier for further client development in the community, especially light client, seeing how the irc bot infrastructure is already well developed and there will be reduced need for bridging the two.
Other than these events, work towards the previously announced goals does continue ; we are undertaking massive database architectural changes to support such expansion, and there's a client communication protocol in the works.
