Some work on auditing GPG codebase (v 1.4.x). As detailed in the log, it's exactly the sort of piece of shit you'd expect coming out of the "FOSS" movement, may their parents be perpetually unproud of the whole lousy lot of them. More work needed, at any rate.
A test bed for PCB A mostly constructed, a memory allocator (of the static buffer, SBRK-less variety) being written for use in Cardano (and in 'P'i ) as MPI needs a heap and no allocator presently exists which meets the apparently very stringent requirements of sanity.
Also some schedulling re-arrangements, to perhaps give better priority to creating a finished product.
We are now approaching the end of a second year's work on a project which was initially intended to take a few months. These two years have been principally applied to spending [a little] of the investor's money to discover that there's nothing usable in the whole huge pile of smoldering sludge and assorted debris which calls itself "IT". Supposedly this stands for information technology, but the only information included is the perhaps banal if apparently controversial point that idiots shouldn't really be allowed next to any kind of tools.
I am very impressed that we're still here, and for that heroic feat I credit competent managementii and dogged engineering determination. And so, here we are, on we go.
———- Obviously, if you want to use
cryptoanything, you gotta write your own tools. This would be a subset of Thing 4, you can think of it as a replacement for PGP -- roughly in the sense Stoya is a replacement for your ex-wife. [↩] - Hey, anyone computed our burn rate, yet ? Awww. So I guess S.NSA doesn't really need to be acquired to survive, does it ? Which is a bad thing, from a certain perspective, right ?
