There is not a question of whether Bitcoin will or Bitcoin will not "work with governments". Bitcoin does not work with anything or anyone. The question is whether every single person involved in these alleged "governments" is going to obey or else enjoy the sad fate of poor Georg, ritter von Flondor. Because, again, remember that we know where you live, and we don't care that you and the little group of fairies that's to you "the entire world" prefer being collectively known as "Congress" or "Government" or anything else. Am citit acu' cateva luni articolul scris de tine si reactiile de pe reddit cu privire la presiunile facute de sec.gov . Toata povestea aia a ajutat comunicatea si berbecii astia care sunt cu bitcoin si cu alte chestii descentralizate au capatat mai mult curaj. Cu toate acestea, ceea ce ai scris pe twitter nu consider ca e prea mult. In Romana suna OK. Din pacate prin alte parti ale lumii e esential sa fi 'politically correct' pana la infinit si dincolo de infinit daca se poate mai ales pe twitter si pe alte retele de socializare care sunt indexate de Google.
Antonios nu e chiar prostan. A scris si facut multe tutoriale care ajuta mai ales ca documentatia pt acest sistem este greu de gasit sau imprastiata pe 1000 de site-uri. Vorbeam cu el si isi termina acuma cartea -- mai are un capitol so o termina -- si daca este scrisa bine si o sa ajute developeri si poate chiar si pe tine ce o sa mai zici? Poate o sa te ajute si pe tine daca o sa mai faci un site cu zaruri si chestii d-astea... Acum poti sa te bati cu pumnii in piept si sa zici ca tu stii totul despre bitcoin-ul asta dar ma indoiesc ca stii totul despre multi-sig , desre scripting si desper weak brain wallet si asa mai departe...

Aia poate avea oricine, oricind, si mai ieftin. Io pe de cealalta parte is ala care face continutu'. Aia nu poate avea nimeni veci pururi, n-o sa apara acuma un alt MP ca am plecat io. Deci pe cale de consecinta, voia la ei da' banii la mine, io-mi aleg restaurantu' nu el pe mine, si daca are ceva problema cu faptu' ca io pun fetele sa stea topless la masa ie fix problema lor : fetele mele tot topless or sta la masa daca asa zic io.
Io n-am nimic impotriva ca o fi rescris ala documentatiile sau ce-o fi facut, ie fix apa de ploaie, un traducator neautorizat incepe de la 75 centi ora de munca. Io am in schimb impotriva faptu' ca o tot facut publicitate la scamuri infecte, in contra a ce ziceam eu in aceeasi perioada, si mai grav ca nu si-o cerut scuze dupa aia. Ca asa e normal, daca se crede prostanu' mai destept decit MP si zice niste chestii public invers decit MP, cind se dovedeste ca tot ce-o vorbit el o fo de fapt exact gresit iese frumos cu o declaratie "Io is prost, MP ie destept, alta data ascultati de el ca el stie ce vorbeste, nu de mine si de alti puleti ignari ca mine, ca noi habar n-avem". Asa era normal. Well my history with Twitter is sorta like this : I started an account back before it was cool because of a group of chicks I was in, you know how it goes a group of friends picks up some obscure web service and then they're all there. That died six months later or so, group lost interest in the toy, I sorta kept at it for no particular reason - mostly cause it's easy I guess.
Then in 2011 I finally quit it, because they made some "upgrades" to the website making it impossible for me to actually send tweets anymore, at which point I promptly discovered that the supposed desktop applications for it require... Adobe Air. So I just forgot about it.
But apparently I had a Trilema RSS feed publishing to it, or so I discovered sometime in 2013. So then I checked the website again and lo and behold! I could publish again, somehow. I guess they musta fixed the upgrade or whatever. And so I've been publishing, but in fairness it was mostly to lol at the derpage firehose it is, I never really ended up identifying with it or whatever the hell.
I'd like to say that I guess I'll be back in another coupla years, if I'm somehow magically reminded, but looking at twitter's cashflow statement that really seems a bridge too far. At any rate, who'd want to be involved with a platform in the first place, and especially one run by Americans is completely beyond me.
And especially for free. Twitter wants me back, its PR'd better start sending me care packages.

I used Twitter much earlier (I used their SMS update service!), and I have followed all their pathetic tries at being relevant. Kinda like Bitcoin, they were starting things like "do X with Twitter" just for the hell of it.
Took them years to get actual users, only after they got celebrities (well, their PR) to be in it. I think it started with pornstars.
The format of Twitter only allows the exchange of pretend-witty remarks devoid of content. The French media even has a name for those exchanges, "tweet clash". It's only natural that it attracts the media-addicted useless people, who only care about the "little sentences", day-to-day politics, etc. Its use for *discussion* is just toxic.
I also tried to use it "professionally" but never got anything interesting out of it. So I deleted all my accounts.
Also, I can assure you most followers don't actually read you, I tested it.

Some of my followers read me, I can tell by the reactions. But most definitely don't. In fact I'm pretty sure that any account has a few hundred to a few thousand readers, with the rest making up the difference to a few thousand or a few million simply inactive.
In fact that Amil Dash character has an article actually documenting the phenomenon.

Twitter has gone back to disallowing URLs in DM's, which is unfortunate. I saw something the other day, could not get answers (but then, who can, with Mt. Gox?) and now I see a familiar name. I copied
this to pastebin, and highlighted accordingly. I tried asking one of the parties concerned, but, surprise, he was not exactly forthcoming.
Maybe you could give me your email address, if that isn't too presumptuous of me? I'm trying a different method of getting an avatar, seems no more likely to work though.
