15th blown, other statements.
Motto : I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.
Originally the plan was to have a very early alpha release of the rpg sometime around the 15th. The problem is that the engineers didn't like the way the cache was being handled and so wanted to rewrite it or whatever it is you do with caches you don't like. I think it's rewriting them isn't it ? Anyway. I suppose engineers have a god given right to rewrite the cache if they want to rewrite the cache, especially if they're doing that which is kinda cool instead of packaging the client to be used as a static binary rather than the complex mess of libraries they're currently using, which is kinda lame. After all engineers most definitely do have the god given right to use a computer with parts in two distinct rooms while plugging in the video cable with hairpins.
The good news is that we have client and server working (for any value of "working" which includes you having to type abstruse shit in the command line interface every random interval of a duration). The server runs smoothly and so far hasn't managed to be crashed at all, while having a pretty tiny footprint on its machine. I still have high hopes of a client being packaged that can be used by someone who doesn't routinely void the warranty of their computer as a matter of course. Ideally this would happen by the end of the month, which as you no doubt notice is about two weeks away.
In the meanwhile, to bridge you over, here's a little something.
Best viewed while enjoying Greyhawk's distinctive voice, provided by Tom Wigginsi who will be working extensively with us on this project, and yes I do intend to have a lot of voiced content (which, in fairness, is why the cache had to be rewritten in the first place, but anyway!).
And to think that you could just as well be hanging out with ole' Greyhawk right now and whatnot!
———- Tom spent most of his life giving things life through his voice. Outside of voicing for the PBX at Stanford University (of which he's an alumnus) and launching the career of Weird Al Yankovic during his radio days he enjoys crashing bikes and generally having a good time! [↩]

Did you ever get the artist work done for your game?
I have someone that can do the work -- they are skilled and we were working on something in the past that was similar to your request.
--Please let me know if you are still looking for art work.
--thanks
Brian Connelly
Also I would love to pick your brain about what I could do with Loser.com.

There's a number of people working on the various aspects of art for the game, from 2d to music. There's always room for more. See here.
What you could do, what do you mean ?
