I'm sick ;/
I rarely get sick, maybe once every three years or so. In general I get slightly sore in the evening and maybe the sniffles but it's gone by morning.
This time however, it's been bothering me for about two days, so bad in fact that I had to break out the pills!i
And so, a few pills later, I'm at least able to sit in a chair, read email, write blogposts, that sorta thing.
Mayhap tomorrow be a better day.
———- I keep large supplies of four things, namely Triferment (a bovine bile extract, perfectly able to right any ill effects of having eaten thirty deviled eggs for instance), Eridiarom (a plant extract, mostly Vaccinum myrtillus, perfectly capable to stop any diarrhea whatsoever), Biseptol (brand name, really sulfamethoxazole + trimethoprim, basically sulpha drugs) and Paracetamol.
When I was a kid my parents used to also keep Rivanol (ethacridine lactate) around the house. It's probably the ideal disinfectant for kid scrapes and wounds, mostly because it's not really toxic or irritating, it's very efficient and has an excellent record of suppressing anaerobic infections (ie, you're unlikely to get pus). It also happens to be the ideal abortifacent, making self-abortions perfectly feasible and quite safe, which probably explains why you can't buy it in your sucky country. [↩]
