That didn't last long...

Where's the justification for shutting down other alternative currencies? For evicting the occupy movement? For torturing civilians? For suspending habeas corpus? For ordering drone strikes on American civilians?
Most people are laying down and accepting these revocations of their freedoms? Are you? If not, what are you doing about it?
OP is exactly right that whenever they deem bitcoin a sufficient threat they will come after it. You and I might carry on undeterred, but it will cripple the economy, and we should plan for this eventuality. Dismissing this as 'oh, but they have no right.' is naive at best and delusional at worst.

The occupy movement was a public nuisance. It wasn't even a movement, just a bunch of retarded/malfeasant kids.
The Liberty Dollar, which everyone seems to consider related, was an out and out scam. The guy made "silver" dollars which were worth about 26 cents and encouraged a bunch of idiots to pass them out for the real thing. If his silver dollars were worth a dollar he wouldn't have needed to either infringe the copyrights of the real coins nor do all the rest of the shady shit he did.
Bitcoin has nothing to do with either of those. Bitcoin isn't about retards crushed under a mountain of college debt which they can't repay cause they studied useless bullshit a la women's rights. Bitcoin isn't about smarmy surfers trying to pawn off forged coin under the pretense of some vague california-y "spiritual" mishmash.
It would be great if everyone would stop associating the various harebrained schemes idiots came up with so far with Bitcoin. Bitcoin has nothing to do with either idiots or their harebrained schemes.

This hardly seems like justification for revoking their constitutional rights. Are you aware that the average person sees us bitcoiners as retarded?

What is actually true doesn't matter, it's perception that counts.
BTW: Looks like your account has been shadowbanned.
And indeed he's right, which I know because I've made a reply to his comment which I can see but you can't. Story of the Interwebs, retarded kids crushed under a mountain of debt they can't repay cause they "studied" bullshit topics a la women's issues get toghether and make something they see as culturally relevant, but which practically works as a sort of crutch. Then they gang together to exclude their superiors, such as people who aren't retarded kids crushed under a pile of debt etc. Then they wonder why the people that matter exclude them from the things that matter. Such horrid opression and all. The solution is simple tho : learn to suck our cock better and you might not have to eat so much ramen.
I'm not going back to reddit any more than I'm going back to #bitcoin-otc. I can't be bothered to add the site to the pr list either, so anyone pretending to be me or speaking for me on reddit can safely be assumed a scammer from now on.
Almost a week! My first time! Whee!
