1. (U) PolOff delivered reftel demarche to Bridget Brody of the FCO's International Organizations Department who is the department's ECOSOC coordinator. On July 14, Brody notified PolOff that HMG will instruct its ECOSOC delegation to support the USG in asking ECOSOC to send the application of the Human Rights Foundation back to the NGO Committee.
2. (U) HMG is unable, however, to support the application itself at this time. Brody said that HMG will need to see more evidence before making a determination.
