(SBU) D/POLCONS delivered reftel demarche on October 1 to MFA Director for Human Rights Brandusa Predescu. Predescu noted that Romania was working within the EU on a coordinated approach. Romania, as a member and chair of the UNHRC has called a special session to discuss Burma/Myanmar. She assured us that GOR supports all of the points conveyed in the US demarche.
