Morning coffee ocean side

Wednesday, 18 July, Year 10 d.Tr. | Author: Mircea Popescu

One of the more directly striking priviledges of my priviledged position probably is that I can say "we're going to the beach", and then women scurry forthwith to prepare provisions and arrange arrayed accoutrements of filthy luchre ; and then the car flies at 130 kmph through the night while Leonard Cohen derps on about how "democracy is coming" through the exceptionally accomplished acoustic system before alighting me by the oceanside just as the Sun wakes up.

morning-1

What fucking democracy ? There is no such thing. There can be no such thing. Reality is strictly this situation where the stars belong to me, and gladly, even if for lack of alternative.

These guys... they build entire complicared cities of little sand balls. They're shy, and careful, and we ran across a severed pincher today. It's sad, you know ?

Yet what can you do.

"He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave"...

I broke all my legs, and the company drowned, and hurt, and variously suffered. It was a glorious day at the beach! And we gifted the little fellows living there one pea, and a small slice of fine bell pepper (red), and a little bit of orange peel (which was briefly inspected and readily discarded as uninteresting -- even hermits have standards!).

And it occurs to me, that we're by a very far margin the only people who don't need a professional excuse to be in the water. Not boats, not surfboards, can just splash happily in the wake, jumping waves and having no "good reason" to be there, no prop as an excuse, nothing at all. What fucking democracy, I ask you again ? The world is neatly split among they who need an excuse to be here and they who do not, what more is there to it ?!

You possibly remember this guy from before.

morning-14

They build whole cities, on the beach. Then the sea surges and wipes them out. Then they build them again. Whole secret civilisations of crabs, leaving their own fake jesus signs in the sands, marks and markings of meanings inconsequential. What of it ?

I don't really know what to tell you, other than "life's not for everybody", which it most pointedly isn't.

Yet here we are ; and so it goes.

I'm sorry, did I forget to register the relevant forms with the authority for randos looking for shit to steal on the internets or what ?

  5. mister mircea popescu let me ask you this: if you put a bucket of kfc in front of a fat man, do you expect him not to eat it? also if you put nature pics in front of someone who likes nature, do you expect him not to ask where the pics were taken? why do you have to behave like a paranoid dumb ass ?
