I will say, I've never felt more motivated to be useful, nor more afraid of resting on laurels. This just does not occur in the bezzle world.

I'm starting to really grok how functional an honor society is, as laid out in: http://trilema.com/2016/honor-societies-vs-respect-societies-or-how-the-disaster-of-commons-sunk-the-western-world/

Could start with, say, Mr. W's story. To answer the question as stated : Templars were rich and elitist. Cathars were the exact lalaland of the period. They didn't eat meat. They didn't believe there's any substance to gender. They didn't think hitting one upside the head is an indicated method of education. You name it, they had it.

The bit in the log sufficiently illustrates in my eyes the idiocy of it. So their ~diverse~ military should be noted for the female-operated mangonel sending a rock that smashed Montfort's father's head ? Hurr ? Almost identical to US Army bs, they don't want to talk about how they lost the encounter but about how the spurious female corps did "as good as the men" and bla bla ?

They did a terrible job, militarily. Carcassone for instance was by any standards impregnable yet it fell ; moreover Raimon's support was entirely absent, exactly in the manner and exactly for the reasons libertard politics work these days.

Did you ever locate a www-readable decent source re: the Cathars?

I'd like to know why you see their zapping as a well-deserved act of pest-control, but not similarly, say, the zapping of the Templars.

In my eyes, the siege of Toulouse resembled -- if any modern incident at all -- Clinton's bugspraying of the Davidians - i.e. folks who bit off more sovereignty pie than they could chew.

In what ways did the Cathars resemble modern Californirasts ? IIRC there was nothing particularly "female" about them, and they made a fairly good stand for themselves militarily on their way to /dev/null.
