But still, I see the slavs' attempt at be-romanizing their surnames as an indicator of which culture predominates.

In the western shithole of the Empire, the top surnames are a Basque one and the rest are all German.

Guess who works as a waiter for the tourists. And guess who needs foreign workers cause they can't find someone who knows how to glue four walls together + ceiling.

But, yes, it's a broad assumption, doesn't work even for me for example.

Altogether dubious considerations. There's even some broad named Mircea for the same money.

"priest-ish".

It's quite a nice suffix to indicate actually being Roman.
And you can easily tell who raped who in certain parts: names for the children are like Francisco, with the proper suffix, while the patronymic is something like Fernandez, because some Ferdinand invader came nicely inside.

It's a nice indicator to know who deserves to be here, and to know that some nations are here to stay and some others don't... at least not in equal conditions.

Yeah, it's insufferable, "here's how far we're willing to go to support the socialist-equalitarian nonsense of interchangeable, worthless and meaningless people". Shameful, he should have had his fingers hammered individually rather than be permitted to dick about with artsy pretenses.

And yes, Popescu means something like "some antecessor was a priest".

sacerdote does in fact mean priest ...

Doesn't `Popescu`also mean "of the priest" ?

I have an especial loathing for Diego Rivera for some reason, always hated the ape-like way he rendered the human form.
