PS. It would seem Bitlove LLC has finally fixed their Fetlife product inasmuch as the hole discussed in this series is concerned.

It only took them SIXTEEN WEEKS since first publication - from Friday, February 13th to May 29th - and it only happened a coupla months after it became clear that legal fraud and assorted dickery is not going to make the problem go away, or in other words they finally did a little bit of work but only after throwing a temper tantrum and being severely and regularly beaten for it (taking twelve sessions with the belt, no less).

The solution they actually applied is not the fundamental solution discussed in the original piece, but a paleative : banning any and all accounts that request inexistent profile pages over a certain count (seems to be ~120). There may be a timer involved also, but if it exists it's over a day. It's not how I would have approached the problem if I cared about the end product any, which is a moot consideration - Bitlove LLC has amply proven so far that they do not care about the end product to any degree, they just want the lusers' money, and as much of it as possible for as little work as possible.

In any case, I shan't be bothered with this particular den of ineptitude, at least not for this reason, at least not for now. Buh-bye, an' thanks for all teh fishies.
