Weirdo Batman is some comic book Thor Disney trotted out. Basically 'Murican comics throw every thing imaginable at the pulp to see what sticks. Disney bought the comics company after a couple movies did well at the box office. The result is "Film Franchise" which reliably makes dollars for Disney.
