So did everyone else : the cowboy of 1880 Rio Grande, the coolie of 1905 India, the Sipahi of 1930 Antalya, you name it, they had it. At least by comparison with US "middle manager", they definitely had it.

For the other thing, those items you discuss are of interest for foreign (Euro) ambassadors and various other special cases. The aspirational 14% touched the stuff maybe once a year, if they happened to be female, fetching and good cocksuckers the entire interval.</description>
