Operation TerrorStorm (oneoneeleventy)

Let's set the tone with a quote (from 15 Year Old Who “SWATTED” Gamer Convicted Of Domestic Terrorism; 25 Years To Life In Federal Prison) :

DeQuincy, LA — What many teenagers these days are considering a harmless prank, has landed one online gamer in more trouble than he could have ever imagined. In a Louisiana courtroom today, 15-year-old Paul Horner broke down in tears after a judge found the young man guilty on two counts of domestic terrorism and was sentenced to twenty-five years to life in federal prison.

Horner is the first person in history to be charged with what is known as ‘swatting‘, a growing trend in which a person anonymously files a false police report, such as a murder or bomb threat, in hopes of provoking the police to raid an individual’s home or business. Prosecutors in the case proved that Horner called in multiple false threats against rival online gamers, resulting in SWAT team raids of their residence.

Defense lawyers told the courtroom that Horner, who goes by the gamertag BadAssDwg69, was upset after being repeatedly beaten by a fellow gamer at Battlefield 4. After obtaining the rival gamers information, prosecutors say Horner called police and reported a murder/hostage situation at the home. SWAT team then raided the house, shooting and critically injuring the “Livestreamer’s” father in the process. Following an investigation of the incident, Horner was charged as an adult, using provisions of the 2001 Patriot Act. Horner’s guilty charge stems from two counts of domestic terrorism, related to his manipulation of an enforcement response, and injuries to innocents resulting from those actions.

During closing arguments, prosecuting attorney Tom Downey explained the state’s assessment of Horner to the jury : “There were no victims or any evidence that a shooting had taken place,” Downey said. “Horner’s actions are pure evil, he is a menace to society and must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Horner, described as affecting a brash, “hardcore” persona while online was anything but throughout the trial. At multiple times Horner broke down into fits of sobbing hysteria and calls to his mother, to the point that the presiding Judge, Arthur Digsby, was forced to have him removed. Hearing the sentence of 25 years to life, Horner began sobbing. Judge Digsby told Horner that though he felt bad for the youth, he was ultimately responsible for his own actions.

“Ignorance of consequence because of lack of thought absolves no one”, the Judge told Horner. “Thinking that your actions were only a prank did not make them only a prank.”

Raids by SWAT teams are known as the most dangerous work law enforcement can do. On December 19th of last year, near Somerville, Texas, a SWAT team deputy was shot and killed during an attempt to serve a no-knock warrant. Just before 6:00 A.M., SWAT team members entered the home of Henry Goedrich Magee. They were there to serve a warrant which would permit the team to search the mobile home in which Magee and his pregnant girlfriend were living. Reacting to the pre-dawn, forced entry, Magee grabbed a rifle propped against a bedroom door frame and fired at the unidentified intruders, killing 31 year old sheriff’s deputy Adam Sowders.

So police charges unrelated 15 year old for their deliberate shooting of random innocent guy whose home they felt like invading that day (because it gets boring down at the station, not to mention the lockers have to be aired now and again and how much donut dough can a person eat!) on the age old ironclad deflection crime of "look what you made me do!". Which is still valid law in Blackthorne the kingdom of any fumbly, maladroit mother since time immemorial.

If there ever was a 15 year old political prisoner somewhere in the world, this weeping pasty ass Paul Horner is it, doing hard time for, as the DA puts it, the horrible, purely evil crime of showing to everyone that'd care to watch just how much of a police state the US is, and just how much being a police state sucks. So, you know... free Paul!, you dumb, disgusting, senseless brutes!

Leaving aside the apt proposition that getting the US police involved is an act of terrorism, as plainly stated for the record by the exact people that should know - the government clerks in question - let's take a step back and consider a few points. Such as :

  • that a database with millions of rows exists, including virtually every human being that ever worked for the police state in question, and definitely everyone that ever held any sort of position of interest. Including the complete names, SSN and banking history, in most cases tax filings going back a while, a list of spouses and children in most cases including pictures, home addresses over time. Including nude selfies in plenty of cases. Including anything and everything you could possibly want.
  • that it is provedly trivial to get phone numbers anywhere you wish.
  • that getting a bunch of voice actors to read a bunch of action film lines costs roughly a dollar a word. The content can definitely be reused, especially if you blast it across the country - consider the situation where the same old, gruff sounding white fellow calls 911 in every single county in every single state of the US, at the same exact moment. Could the operators working over here distinguish him from the operators working over there ?
  • that all this (and more™) could be comfortably done by one man from within the comfort of his own home, irc channels and botnets.

So now go ahead and fix it, this "problem" as you define it.i

What's it going to be, a "no SWAT-ing of government clerks' houses" rule ? Yeah... I know. But the fact that you don't have the guts to come out and say it kinda makes the point for me. It's not that democracy in the United States is at its weakest point, under Valleyforge, under Gettysburg. It's that it's under the water, you know ? It sunk, it drowned, forget about trying to prop it up, all prettied up in words and nailed to a pole. It looks zombie-blue and it stinks. It stinks to high heavens. Just take the thing away and bury it already, clear the air a little.

I'm not going to end in the common vein of wondering "how long the ordinary people can put up with it". As the Soviet Union experience shows, they'll put up with it indefinitely, for as long as there's some food on the shelves, even if there's nothing else. I'm instead going to end by pointing out that being American is, and has for a while been, a crime.

You are the terrorists.

  1. The problem as I define it is that police regularly shoots people for no reason. The problem as the police state defines it is that some kid pointed a finger and so "of course" they shot that way.

The problem as I define it is that some idiots declared war on reality. The problem as the idiots in question define it is that why does this criminal pretending to be reality fail to conform to the consensus established reality they have!

The problem as I define it is that the current US government exists in the first place. The problem as it defines it is that why does anything else exist to a larger degree than it!

The problem with all these problems is that they're irreducible : the inexistent government that has an issue with the superior existence of actually living things is roughly in the position of a ghost : can not rest until all movement in the land of the living has been extinguished.

In other words, the problem with these problems is that it's a simple and unavoidable case of us or them. Which is hardly a problem if you think about it : inasmuch as you know you're alive you know which side you're on, and inasmuch as you're dead already, your killing doesn't really raise any sort of ethical or moral problems. 1. That a 15 year old has no understanding of the potential here is also a crime. He certainly was not adequately educated. His parents could use a little discipline too.
One of the many crimes that muricans are upto these days is raising a generation of mindless tools.

    What potential ?

Since when and in what sort of a shithole should one be aware of the negative potential of police interaction ? Does this extend to what, doctors ? The cashier at the bank ?

PS. Thanks God St Peter wasn't born in Chesapeake Bay, I'd have had to ask to be buried with a crowbar and a brass knuckle, just in case of you know... potentials.

  3. That 15 year old is certainly a little shit. That was my first reaction.

However he's a little shit like most 15 year olds. I think the question here is "why are we giving away terrorist weapons to little shits?".

Of course he's a little shit. What else would he be ?

On the other hand, I'm still waiting for any one of the people that contacted me privately to let me know that "this is a hoax" to gather their stuff and say so here - so I can point out to them that this particular fiction is no less fictive than say Anita Sarkeesian, or for that matter Barrack Obama ; and that there's scarcely any practical difference to be found between this particular Onion-wannabe venue and Newsweek or whatever other fictive example of the fictitiously "mainstream" media.

Apparently we don't always get what we want though. It's a tough world out there.

  5. "this particular fiction is no less fictive than say"... The New York Times!

OMAHA — The Omaha police chief said Wednesday that the fatal shooting of a crew member filming the television show “Cops” by one of his officers was an “unfortunate incident” and that it appeared that the three officers involved had acted professionally.

"When you’re reporting police work and riding along with us, unfortunately, you subject yourself to that same level of violence that Omaha police officers do every day."

    Hint hint, nudge nudge.
