A few people I know have tried to compile a record for his 'correct calls' but it always winds up in arguments about what is and is not a valid 'hit'. Thats why I mentioned Banda Aceh, that one at least no one argues about.

O hey, interesting. Maybe a full review of the guy's predictions to date'd be worthwhile. Maybe he actually has something there.

Re: Layer 3
It doesn't use google but the guy who runs http://halfpasthuman.com/ has been making predictions based on words scoured from the Internet for a long time now.

The theory is based on something about humans 'leaking' prescient information based on which words they use in everyday speech.

While he has made a few spectacular predictions, like the Banda Aceh tsunami, mostly he winds up predicting headlines but not actual events. So if a few web prognosticators claim Gold is going to the moon he usually winds up predicting that will happen instead of 'that will make the headlines' and thus get into peoples heads.
